BLT Cheesy Ball

Y’all need to make this for SOME holiday party y’all. People will love you.

One friend told me, “Whoa, it’s like a party on your tongue!”

Thanks to the fresh herbs.

So, not technically B – L – T as it doesn’t have Lettuce. Or Tomato.

But hey, maybe it’s Bacon Loves Triscuits, or Bacon Loathes Toast –

Bacon Leaves Tomorrow?

Bacon Lacks Taste? (NO!!)

– Which, by the way, is really funny, because all of a sudden, after 10 years of hating bacon… my taste buds have come to their senses, I LOVE BACON! As in, I actually baked a whole package the other day, and ate a piece or two each morning with breakfast. Whoa. Watch-out bacon and chocolate lovers!

Whatever, just make it.

It’s good, and easy, and feeds like a million people.

I’m almost thirty, I’ve GOT to stop using like, and exclamation marks as much!

Oh, if you’re a planner like me, it also freezes well. Make it a week ahead. Also, check out this planning checklist from PBS Food, they’ve got GREAT tips and tricks to make this year go off without a hitch!

Really easy. Shred your cheese in the food processor.

Or buy some.

But shred it.

Or buy it.

But shredded is better.

Then chop up all your herbs. Lots, and lots.

Think “party on the tongue.”

Lots and lots of garlic.

I always add 5 cloves to whatever recipe I’m reading.

Then you just blend it all up in the food processor!

With cream cheese and mayo, of course.

And some lemon juice, and don’t forget the salt and pepper like I always do.

Then set it on a couple layered pieces of Saran Wrap….

And twist it up. Kinda form it into a ball, and into the fridge it goes.

It will firm up in a few hours, or freeze for later in the week.

When your ready, unwrap, and roll the ball in crumbled bacon and shredded cheese.

Serve with crackers, I used Pita chips and Triscuits. Get ready to pass out the recipe.

P.S. This would be really good on sandwiches if y’all have leftovers, make a good turkey and cheese melt and slather this on!

~Peace, Love, and Cheeseballs Y’all

I really want this cheeseball right now! I use exclamation marks way too much as well. How else am I suppose to express that I’m happy and/or excited!?!?!

When does it turn greenish. The color of mine looks like yours before rolling in the cheddar and bacon 🙂

The green color is from all the chopped herbs! It may be less green if you used less herbs, or used dried herbs. Either way, I’m sure it will taste great!
