Summer Snacks


I did the Ezekiel thing, y’all.

I kept hearing everyone talk about it.
Sprouted wheat bread, ancient grains…. blah blah blah. To save me from butchering the infinite wisdom I gleaned from the inter webs, check out this cute article about why people are so obsessed with this stuff.

All I can think about is what kind of French Toast it will make.

But alas, it’s tasty, it really is!

I’ve been trying to get my postpartum body back, and this was a good little snack to get me through an afternoon.

If nothing else makes me ravenous as a kid in a candy shop, nursing will do it.
I am frequently STAARRVVINGGG.

My stomach literally feels the bellows of the wind through an underground cavern.
I’m not being dramatic, I swear.

It’s summertime, you feel instantly skinnier. Rather than reach for that bag of popcorn, or sneak in that Pop-Tart, try this first.

Try adding onion, or butter leaf lettuce, it’s delicious, and the carb gods won’t even be mad at you.

Summertime Skinny Toast


1 slice Ezekiel bread
1 T hummus
1/2 sliced avocado
4 sliced cherry tomatoes
2 cucumber slices
Salt and Pepper


Toast your Ezekiel bread.
Spread with hummus.
Delicately layer on sliced avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, and top with salt and pepper.
